Nicky Shackelford

SHACKELFORD, Nicky L., age 35 of Piqua, passed away Tuesday March 10, 2009 at Upper Valley Medical Center following an illness. Nicky was a 1992 graduate of Vandalia Butler High School and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Vandalia. She was preceded in death by her parents Vonnie Whitson and Paul Shackelford. Nicky is survived by one daughter Beth; 2 sons Dustin and Taylor; her father Ken Whitson; 2 brothers David Shackelford and Kenneth & wife Jenette Whitson; 2 sisters Kendra & husband Josh Wells and Sherri Ringo; special friends Leslie, Kenny, Elita, Sam and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held Friday March 13 at 10:00am at the First Baptist Church 140 Elva Ct. Vandalia with Pastor David Starry officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home 139 S. Dixie Dr. Vandalia on Thursday evening (TODAY) from 6 to 8pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made for an Education Fund to be established for Nickys children.
