Weiffenbach, Nancy L. age 85 formerly of Vandalia, passed away Friday April 5, 2024, at Hospice of Dayton. Nancy was born June 7, 1938, in Dayton, OH daughter of the late Calvin & Margaret (Matthews) Werner. Nancy was a graduate of Otterbein University where she met her husband, John. She was a member of the Vandalia Butler Historical Society, the Vandalia United Methodist Church, and the Golden Glow of Christmas Past. Nancy was an award-winning quilter and she enjoyed woodworking and creating beautiful stained-glass art. She was preceded in death by her husband John Weiffenbach in 2010; her daughter Jean Ann in 2022 and 2 brothers Chuck and Robert Werner. She is survived by 2 sons Bob & wife Julia Weiffenbach of Dayton and Al & wife Erika Weiffenbach of Columbus; 9 grandchildren John, Jennifer, Casaundra, Joseph, Michelle, Will, Jack, Mandy, and Delaney; numerous great-grandchildren; niece Kate Porter; nephew Matt Werner; and lifelong friends the Kings and the Millers. Funeral services will be held Thursday April 11 at 11:00am at the Woodland Cemetery Chapel 118 Woodland Ave Dayton, OH 45409. The family will receive friends at the cemetery chapel on Thursday morning from 10-11am. The family requests in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or to Hospice of Dayton in Nancy’s memory.
