Nancy E. Beismann

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our cherished mother, Nancy E. Beismann, age 84, on February 5, 2026 of Vandalia, Ohio.

She was born in Hanover, Pennsylvania in 1941. Nancy was a graduate of Vandalia-Butler High School, Class of 1959, and attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She worked at DESC (now DFAS) in Kettering, Ohio, and eventually retired after 20 years and was a devoted member of Vandalia United Methodist Church for more than 60 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eric E. Beismann; along with father, Charles D. Bitner Sr.; mother, Elsie L. (Shoup) Bitner; and brother, Charles D. Bitner Jr. Nancy is survived by her four sons: Mark (Deborah), Eric Todd (Nancy), Bryan (Denise), and Sean (Tara); eight grandchildren: Donovan, Tyler Shaw, Brooke, Belle, Eric, Sierra, Aubrey, and Avery; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Nancy loved traveling to England with her husband and friends from England, as well as traveling within Europe, Canada, and the United States. She cherished time spent with her children, grandchildren, family, and friends. She adored all her dogs— mostly Boxers—and was a wonderful cook. She enjoyed gardening, live theatre, crafts, bowling, playing cards, crossword puzzles, and celebrating the holidays.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm, Thursday, February 12 at the Vandalia United Methodist Church, 200 S. Dixie Dr, Vandalia with Rev. Michael Malcosky officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 5:00 pm until time of service. Final interment will be held at Poplar Hill Cemetery, Vandalia.
