Boocher, Mildred “Cookie”

Age 82, passed away on her birthday, January 27, 2026, in the Neuro ICU at Miami Valley Hospital. She was cared for by the finest nurses, who were there until her passing. She is preceded in death by her son, Shawen, parents, Emil and Kate Jaros, brothers Frank Jaros and Emil Jr (Sonny), and her sister, Mary Metzger. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Joe Boocher, daughters Laura (Jamie) Young and Dr. Miriah Boocher Casto (Bryan), grandchildren, Scott Young and Paige Young, her sister, Emily Burchfield, and her brother, Steve Jaros, plus many beloved nephews and nieces.

Cookie’s favorite part of life was being a grandmother to Scott and Paige. She also loved to read, crochet, and tend to her flowers.
