Meigs Hawk Jr.

HAWK, Meigs Jr., age 83 of Vandalia, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at his residence.  Preceded in death by his wife, Jewel Hawk; sons, Jamie Hawk and Joe Siler; brothers, Arville, Cecil and Hoyt; and sisters, Martha & Gladys, Meigs is survived by his children, Jason Hawk, Mitch and Michelle Siler, all of Vandalia; grandchildren, Kali Leslie, Eric Hamm, David, Donny and Jenny Siler; brother, Ron Hawk (Pat); sister, Kate Kelly (Sidney); along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.   Meigs was retired from the Super-Value Warehouse and was a U.S. Army veteran.  He loved fishing, his family and relaxing watching TV.  The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm, Tuesday, July 7 at the Vandalia United Methodist Church, 200 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia.  Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, July 8 at the church with Rev. Michael Malcosky officiating.  Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens.
