Mary Belle Gibson, 88, of Dayton, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2025 in Fayetteville, Georgia. She was born to Harold & Louada Gibson on December 30, 1936 in Evarts, Kentucky. Mary was a member of Crestview Baptist Church in Clayton, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Gladys McDonald, Ray Gibson, Sr. & William “Bill” Gibson; husband, Hardy Abshire. Survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Anthony “Tony” & Jennifer Gibson; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Steven, Michelle, Laura & Alexis; great grandchildren, Braydon, Jessica, Mason, Rosalie, Landon, Autym, Xavier, Luca, Alayna & Brynlee; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives & many friends. The family will receive friends from 12 noon Thursday, April 24 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia, with the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Tim Cain, officiating.
