Mary Lou Collins, age 88, formerly of Vandalia, passed away on Friday, October 24, 2025, at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Indiana. She was born to the late Robert and Evelyn Hept on September 2, 1937, in Dayton, Ohio. She graduated from Vandalia-Butler High School. Her late husband, Marvin, was a former mayor and city council member of Vandalia in the 1970s. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting as well as assembling puzzles and playing cards.
In addition to her parents and husband Marvin, she was preceded in death by her sisters Wanda and Roberta; and her brother Ed. Mary is survived by her daughter Karen Warren(Randy), sons Robert and Kenneth; sister Sharon; grandchildren Veronica, Erica(Vadoll), Dustin(Destiny), Jarett, and Tony; and 6 great grandchildren and many friends.
A graveside service will be held for Mary at Polk Grove Cemetery in Butler Township with Reverend Michael Malcosky officiating on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at 11AM.
