Mary M. Carson

Age 87, of Butler Twp., passed away at her home on Friday, January 27, 2017.

Mary was born March 7, 1929 in Akron, Ohio to the late Herman E. & Mary Louise (Walkey) Wening. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, L. Turner Carson, in 2011; and by two brothers, John H. & Richard E. Wening.

Mary is survived by four sons, John T., David B. (Patty), Douglas T. (Sandi) & L. Christopher (Trudy) Carson; three grandchildren, Megan, Ashley & Heather (Justin); four great grandchildren, Noah, Haylie, Easton & Liam; and by one brother, William R. Wening (Joyce); and numerous nieces & nephews.

The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Wednesday (2/1) at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Drive, Vandalia. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by Rev. Fr. Gregory Konerman at 10:30 a.m., Thursday (2/2) at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 1322 Brown Street, Dayton. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

The family would like to extend a very special “thank you” to Mary’s caregivers: Lisa, Katrina & Nicole, for the wonderful, loving care and attention they provided.
