Martha J. Tolle

TOLLE, Martha J., age 85 of Vandalia, passed away Thursday, May 20, 2010 at Sunrise of Oakwood. She was born August 3, 1924 in Dayton, daughter of the late Charles P. & Helen G. (Unger) Eisenhauer. Martha graduated from the former Julienne High School in Dayton, OH. She was a homemaker and long-time active member of and volunteer worker for St. Christopher Catholic Church in Vandalia. Preceded in death by her husband, Verner P. Tolle, 5 brothers, Charles, James, Paul, William and Thomas Eisenhauer and 2 sisters, Mary Catherine Donovan and Dorothy Wagner. Martha is survived by 3 sons, Don & wife, Ann Tolle of Cincinnati, Tom & wife, Mindy Tolle of St. Simons Island, GA, and Larry Tolle of Centerville; 5 grandchildren, Ryan, Ashley, Amy, Alex, Austin; 1 brother, Richard Eisenhauer of Englewood, Fla.; 2 sisters, Adele Eisenhauer and Helen Poelking Witt of Dayton, OH and a host of other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, May 29 at St. Christopher Catholic Church, Vandalia with Fr. Francis Keferl officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia on Friday evening from 5:30 " 8:00 pm. If so desired, contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association in Marthas memory.
