Mark Allen Stout

Age 64, of New Lebanon, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026. He we born March 7, 1962 in Dayton to the late John & Carol (Cotterman) Stout. In addition to his parents, Mark was also preceded in death by his sister, Dena Herzog.

Mark was an avid outdoorsman and loved fishing, turtle trapping, frog gigging, hunting and mushroom hunting. He learned to do all of those activities from his father and enjoyed sharing those experiences with his brother.

Mark is survived by one son, Jason Stout & his wife, Sherry; four grandchildren, Barrett, Landry, Sadie & Baylor Stout; one brother, Michael Stout; one sister, Karen Brush & her husband, Jack; and by his extended family & many good friends.

The family will be receiving friends from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m., Thursday, March 12, at Morton & Whetstone funeral home, 139 S. Dixie Drive, Vandalia. Mark’s memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m.
