Maridean Weaver

Age 74, of Dayton, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2026. Maridean was born October 10, 1951 in Troy, Ohio to the late John F. & Eloise (Drury) Weaver. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Brenda Everette; and brothers, James “Jimmy” & Richard “Dickie” Weaver.

Maridean was a life-long member of the Brethren in Christ Church on Valley Street; she retired from the City of Dayton Parks & Recreation Department. She was very creative and enjoyed baking & cooking for others. She was a “gifted” Nana to many children and will be remembered for her laughter and generosity to all who knew her.

She is survived by two daughters, Tammy Plyman and Amber Weaver; three grandchildren, Casey, Tyler & Abbey; one great grandson, Beckham; two bonus granddaughters, Sophia and Lydia Sassenberg; two sisters, Kathy Harness and Bonnie Wallace & her husband, Steve; one brother, John Weaver; and by her extended family & many good friends.

The family will be receiving friends from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm on Friday, March 6, at Morton & Whetstone funeral home, 139 S. Dixie Drive, Vandalia. Memorial services will follow at 1:00 pm with Rev. Chad Chafin officiating.
