Margaret Rose Newsad, age 76, of Clayton, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. Born on November 11, 1948, in Dayton, Ohio, Margaret lived a full and beautiful life rooted in family, faith, and creativity.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Frances (Guggenbiller) Brockman and her sister, Susan. She is survived by her devoted husband of 49 years, Paul Newsad; her children, Jennifer Oswald (Tony), LCDR Bradley Newsad, JAGC, USN (Kelley); and her cherished grandchildren, Andrew and Katherine Oswald and Isla and Josephine Newsad. Margaret is also survived by her siblings Shirley Watson (Lee), Carol Mackenzie (Robert), and Daniel Brockman (Gail) as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
A woman of deep faith, Margaret was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. She had a deep love for animals and a talent for bringing joy to others through her handmade greeting cards. Margaret was also an avid gardener, cake decorator, and candy maker, sharing her talents generously with family, friends, and her community.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Margaret’s life at a visitation from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 12th at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 139 S. Dixie Dr, Vandalia, OH 45377.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 13th at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1000 W Wenger Rd, Englewood, OH 45322. An additional visitation will be held at the church beginning at 9:30 a.m., prior to Mass.
