Linda “Sue” Tamburino, 87, of Kettering, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Vienna Springs Health Campus in Miamisburg. She was born to the late Robert and Marian Quinlivan on April 29, 1938.
In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Louis A Tamburino.
She spent her early career as an X-Ray Technician, which is where she met her husband, Louis. Later, she became a tax preparer and enrolled agent for H&R Block.
Sue enjoyed being a pilot along with her husband. She also enjoyed knitting, martial arts, where she earned a black belt in Judo, reading, and enjoyed raising turtles as well as collecting turtle figurines. A big fan of listening to Irish music and watching her granddaughter compete in Irish dance and Irish fiddle.
She was a big fan of David McCallum, Jack Lord, the show Hawaii 5-0, and reading Hawaii 5-0 and Man from UNCLE fan fiction. Sue loved travelling; she was able to go to Hawaii twice and piloted regionally to different locations.
Sue is survived by her daughter Linda Dershem, son in law Leslie Dershem, brother Robert Quinlivan; granddaughter, Victoria “Tory” Dershem; nieces Krista Kaminsky, Joann and Beverly Tamburino; nephews Joey, Luke Colella and special nephew Michael Eisen (Kelly) and Bryson Cottom; friends Rhonda (Jim) Duval, Doris Fickler, Bill (Kate) Doyle, and many other extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 10, from 2pm to 4pm. At Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, Vandalia, OH.
