Linda K. Sykes

Age 73, of Troy (Union Twp.), passed away Saturday, April 17, 2021, at the Upper Valley Medical Center – Miami County Hospice Unit. Linda was born January 23, 1948 in Dayton to the late Gene S. & Hazel C. (Shaffer) Brewster. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Richard Brewster.

Linda has been a Jehovah’s Witness since 1971 (Vandalia Congregation) and she loved being with children, reading and doing crossword puzzles.

She is survived by her loving husband of the past 54 years, Warner Sykes; two children, Kristy Sykes and Jeffrey Sykes; three sisters, Jean Snow, Sharon Gregg & her husband Carl, & Jeanette Scott; four grandchildren, Dain, Penny, Cory & Charity; five great grandchildren, Camden, Vada, Wyatt, Audrey & Braylon; and by her extended family & many good friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made in memory of Linda to the Miami County Hospice.
