Leonard Thompson

THOMPSON, Leonard C. Sr., age 76 of Harrison Twp., passed away Monday, January 1, 2007 at Grandview Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was a former employee of Chrysler Air Temp and a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. Preceded in death by 1 son, Gary Thompson and 1 sister, Ruth Parsons, Leonard is survived by his former wives, Barbara and Dorothy; 5 sons, Dwayne, Leonard Jr., Mike, Craig Soter, and Larry Wayne; 2 daughters, Sherry and Vonda; 3 brothers, G.C., Clinton, and James; 1 sister, Betty and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm, Thursday, January 4, at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Pastor Bob Conger officiating. Burial to follow Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday afternoon from 12:30 pm until time of service.
