Lee R. Wissman

Age 89, of Troy, passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2026. He was born May 1, 1937 in Wapakoneta to the late Richard & Marie (Metz) Wissman. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Wissman; and one sister, Dolores “Toots” Teeple.

Lee will be remembered by many as the founder of Triad Technologies, but his life and legacy reached far beyond his professional accomplishments. A true people person, he cherished connecting with others—whether business associates and customers, employees, fellow volunteers at the hospital in Celina, parishioners he welcomed as an usher at Holy Redeemer in New Bremen and St. Christopher in Vandalia, young people in the church youth group, or children he met wherever he went. Lee also loved the water, finding joy at the beaches of North Carolina and at his home on the lake in Celina. Above all, he loved his family and treasured the time they shared, especially during the holidays.

Lee is survived by his loving wife of the past 66 years, Rita E. (Zimmerer) Wissman; three children, Doug Wissman & his wife, Jill, Kurt Wissman & his wife, Heidi and Angie Cyr; eleven grandchildren, Brian (Tiffany), Greg (Priscila), Derek (Abbey), Aaron (Madison), Jake (Taylor), Zach (Sarah), Jay, Garrett, Nick, Eva & Emily; twelve great grandchildren, Eliza, Emmett, Carsten, Lucas, Levi, Rylee, Liam, Parker, Mac, Lewis, Caroline, Sophia; one brother, Tom & his wife, Linda; and by his extended family & many good friends.

The family will be receiving friends from 12:30 – 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 21, at St. Christopher Catholic Church, 435 East National Road, Vandalia. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by Rev. Fr. Kyle Schnippel at 2:00 p.m. Following Mass, family & friends are invited to gather for a time of food and fellowship at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 753 S. Hyatt Street in Tipp City.

Private committal services will be held at St. Augustine Cemetery in Minster, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made in memory of Lee to either St. Christopher Catholic Church, St. Jude’s Hospital or St. Vincent de Paul.
