Larry Lee Abbott

Age 86, of Butler Twp., passed away Sunday, February 15, 2026, at his home. Larry was born April 6, 1939 in Jeffersonville, Indiana to the late Charles Edward & June Ruby Abbott. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Linda Simon-Abbott; his brother, Charles Edward “Sonny” Abbott; his step-mother who raised him, Sovara “Sue” Abbott; one daughter, Brenda Banks; one son, Claude Abbott; and by two grandsons, Jerome Fox, III & Michael Fox.

Larry enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, camping in Myrtle Beach & Brown County Indiana with his wife and dogs, and was a friend to all he met.

Larry is survived by three children, Larry Abbott II & his wife, Sara, Lana Fox & her husband, Jerry, Jr. and Jennifer Weiskircher & her husband, Mark; five grandchildren, Larry III, Noah, Marie, Andre & Matthew; one great granddaughter, Gabrielle; sister, Cindy Hagan; brother, Donald Abbott; and by his extended family & many good friends.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made in memory of Larry to your local Humane Society or to the donor’s favorite charity.
