Kenneth E. Moran

Age 77 of Tipp City, OH (formerly of Vandalia, OH) passed away June 10, 2023.  He was born at Miami Valley Hospital on June 17, 1945 and grew up in Waynesville, OH.  He was preceded in death by his parents Bill and Florence Moran, one brother Billy Moran.  Survived by his wife of nearly 59 years Joyce, daughters Christina Clark (Alan), Robin Turiczek (Joe), son Keith Moran (Michelle), grandchildren Staci Camacho (Andres), Andrew Clark (Samantha), Kayla Turiczek, Nat Turiczek, Ellie Moran, Kate Moran, Madison Moran, siblings Robert Moran, Tony Reed (Glenn), Sara Fox (Dave), Susan Maggied, numerous nieces and nephews and many cherished friends.

Ken graduated from Waynesville High School in 1963 and attended The Ohio State University.  He worked at NCR for 10 years and then spent 35 years at Chemineer, Inc.

Upon retirement Ken and his wife enjoyed traveling in their RV.  They were active members of the Newmar Buckeye Kountry Klub.  He loved to go on vacation and enjoyed trips to Australia, New Zealand, Alaska, the Panama Canal, Hawaii and 44 of the contiguous United States.  He was always ready to plan the next trip.

Ken enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and played many games of euchre.  He was an avid OSU football fan and never missed the opportunity to attend a game.  Ken was definitely a “car” guy and was very partial to Fords.  He spent countless hours washing and detailing every car.  His cars were always immaculate!

Ken was an active member of the Vandalia Lions Club for 39 year and served as the Lions Club President in 1992-1993.

Visitation at the Vandalia United Methodist church on July 11, 2023 from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm  Memorial service will follow.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to The Alzheimer’s Association, Hospice of Miami County and the Vandalia Lions Club.
