Kenneth M. Cordell
Age 80, of Vandalia, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Miami Valley Hospital. Ken was born February 10, 1945 in Richmond, Indiana to the late Lawrence & Bernice (Spaulding) Cordell. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two siblings, Walter Cordell & Stella Cordell Ryan; and by his brother-in-law, Michael Turner.
Ken was a veteran of the U. S. Navy. For the past 32 years he has been a member of First Light Church in Vandalia where he met and married his wife of the past 31 years, Janice A. (Early) Cordell.
Ken is survived by his wife, Janice; one daughter, Tamey Wyatt-Kuhn (Anthony Kuhn); three grandchildren, Torre (April) Sledge, Brittany Sledge & Melissa Wyatt; one great granddaughter, Evlyn Sledge; two siblings, Richard (Barbara) Cordell & Ethel Cordell; sister-in-law, Barbara Turner; and by his extended family & many good friends.
The family will be receiving friends from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, Wednesday, May 28, at First Light Church, 140 Elva Court, Vandalia, Ohio 45377. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm with Rev. Mark Patterson (who married Ken & Jan in 1994). Interment with military honors will be at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens in Tipp City.
If friends desire, contributions may be made in memory of Ken to First Light Church. Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
