Kay Batten McCrate
Age 69, passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2017. Kay was born November 17, 1947 in Swedesboro, New Jersey to the late Pete & Katherine (Rulon) Batten. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her second husband, Charles McCrate.
Kay retired as a nurse from Good Samaritan Hospital with 20 years of service. She enjoyed reading, spending time with her family and scrap booking.
Kay is survived by one son, Thomas Dersham (Melissa); daughter, Kimberly Dersham; the father of her children, Theron “Terry” Dersham; and by three grandchildren, Logan, Ella & Kate.
Memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday (11/21) at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Pastor Clay Shade will officiate. The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 p.m. until time of service.
