Joyce M. Arnold

ARNOLD, Joyce M., age 79 of Vandalia, passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2025. Joyce was born March 14, 1946, in Dayton, Ohio, daughter of the late Ester L. & Elsie (Brooks) Hill. Joyce was a loving grandmother who lived for her grandchildren. She enjoyed spending her time coloring, crocheting, working word puzzles and playing board games. Joyce had a passion for reading and shared that passion with numerous children. She treasured working with students with learning disabilities and teaching them to read.

Preceded in death by her husband, Charlie; her brother, Don Hill and sister, Dowana Brock and her husband, Jack; Joyce is survived by her daughter, Brenda & husband, Khamla Ramont of Vandalia; grandchildren, Kimberly Ramont & husband, Thomas Troyer, Chase Ramont and Katelyn Ramont; her sister-in-law, Susan Steelman and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to offer their heartfelt thanks to Joyce’s wonderful caregivers, Robin Jones, Amanda and Becky Simpson and Day City Hospice. They were very dear to Joyce and will forever hold a special place in her family’s heart.

The family will celebrate Joyce’s funeral privately and lay her to rest with Charlie at Miami Memorial Park Cemetery, Covington, Ohio.
