Joy W Rubins

RUBINS, Joy W., age 74, of Vandalia, passed away Thursday, November 26, 2009 at her residence. She was born December 17, 1934 in Prestonsburg, KY, daughter of the late Adam G. & Daisy (Miller) Waddle. Joy was a former employee of Skateworld of Vandalia, the Huber Heights License Bureau, and was a member of the Miami Valley Rose Society. Preceded in death by her brother, Oren Thomas Waddle, Joy is survived by her husband of 52 years, Tom; 2 daughters, Tamme Hafer (Russ) of Butler Twp., and Paige Puterbaugh (Rod) of Brunswick; 1 son, Garth Rubins (Peggi) of Butler Twp.; 8 grandchildren, Drake, Breanne, Devan & Trey Hafer, Molly & Abigail Rubins, and Dane & Dylan Puterbaugh; and a host of other relatives and friends. It was Joys wish that her body be cremated, and the family will hold a Gathering of Friends on Saturday, December 12, at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia from 2-4 pm. If so desired, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association or to Childrens Medical Center in Joys memory.
