Johnnie Lillian Samons

Johnnie Lillian Samons, 84, of Vandalia, passed away Monday, February 17, 2025. She was born to Willie & Elsie Looper on December 6, 1940 in Crawford, Tennessee. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Lester C.; granddaughter, Terri Lynne Boman; sisters, Jeanette Murphy, Jewel Solinski, Frances Thrasher & Mellean Bilbrey; brothers, L.J., Ralph, A.B. & Doyle Looper. Johnnie loved bluegrass music, camping, cooking for her family & gardening. 

Survived by her son, Billy Keith Boman (Karla); daughter, Brenda Faye Boman; grandchildren, Chad Wells (Michelle), Gerede Stephens (Anne), Jason Stephens (Lenore), Keith Irwin Boman (Emily) & Craig Allen Boman (Anna); great grandchildren, Presley, Lillian, Ollis, Joseph, Amaya & William; sisters, Clarice Collier (Bill) of Essexville, MI & Neda Davidson (Larry) of Sidney, OH; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives & many friends.
