Joanne Van Horn

Age 91, of Dayton, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2026. Joanne was born May 1, 1934 in Lucasville, Ohio to the late George & Etta (Middaugh) Jordan. In addition to her parents, Joanne was also preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Lloyd Van Horn; one brother, Jack Jordan; one sister, Billie Rowland & her husband, Richard.

Joanne was a member of the Vandalia Baptist Temple.

She is survived by two sons, Michael Van Horn and Timothy Van Horn; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Jason (Holly), Jodi, Carson, Dakota & Kohl; great grandchildren, Selah, Tori, Jesiah, Jaylin, Madeline, Jentzen; one great great grandson, Judah; her sister-in-law, Joyce Gibson (Acy); and by her extended family & many good friends.

The family will be receiving friends from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 10, at Morton & Whetstone funeral home, 139 S. Dixie Drive, Vandalia. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. with her brother-in-law, Rev. Acy Gibson, officiating. Interment will be at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made in memory of Joanne to the Vandalia Baptist Temple.
