Joan M. Snell

Joan M. Snell Age 65, of Vandalia, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2014, at her home. Joan was born August 11, 1949 in Springfield, Ohio to the late Glesner & Patricia (Zugelder) Conklin. She was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church and retired from US Air with 15 years of service. After that she went on to serve as a financial aide officer with Sinclair Community College. Joan graduated from Springfield North High School in 1967. Joan is survived by her husband, Gary L. Snell; two sons, Scott (Anne) and Wayne (Kathleen) Wisemandle; six grandchildren, Logan, Gibson, Aidan, Avery, Reese & Emerson; two brothers, Jerry (Diane) & James Conklin; two sisters, Dianna (Blaire) Standley & Carol (Terry) Cooper; and by several nieces & nephews. The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Friday, November 8, at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, at the funeral home with Rev. Fr. Frank Keferl officiating. Interment will follow at Poplar Hill Cemetery in Vandalia.
