Jerry E. Powers

POWERS, Jerry Eugene age 71, of Leesville, SC, passed away March 5, 2011 at Agape Hospice, West Columbia, SC. He was born October 7, 1939 on Hazel Mt., in Dickinson Co., VA. He was one of 11 children. Jerry was preceded in death by his mother Frances (Woods) Ross; sisters Goldie Stapleton, Naomi Neuman and Edna May; 5 Brothers-in-law, 2 nieces, 1 Nephew, & 3 great-nephews. Jerry is survived by his daughter Sarah (Andrew) Wright of TX; Grandsons Corey, Spencer, & Joey, Siblings Georgia Kelly of Beavercreek, Richard (Kathy) Powers of Beavercreek, Maynard (Jewell) Powers of Jamestown, Wilma (Charlie) Hoskins of FL, Mary (Jack) Maynard of Springfield, Brenda Nuckles of New Carlisle, Shelby Rector of CA; 12 nieces, 12 nephews, plus numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends. Visitation will be held on Friday March 11th from 12:00-1:30pm at Morton & Whetstone Funeral, 139 S. Dixie Dr. Vandalia. With Funeral service to be held at 1:30 pm. Burial to follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens
