Jeanne Ann Niswonger

Age 77, of Vandalia, passed away unexpectedly on August 4, 2017. Jeanne was born June 24, 1940 in Dayton to the late Robert & Helen (Long) Shupp. In addition to her parents, Jeanne was also preceded in death by a brother, Jack Belware; and a sister, Joyce Koch.

She was a nurse by profession and having a great love of animals, she worked at the Vandalia Animal Clinic for 20 years and for many years she showed the dog breeds Saluki & Whippet. She was a member of the Saluki Club of America, was an avid reader and loved flower gardening.

Jeanne is survived by her loving husband of the past 61 years, Charles E. Niswonger; two daughters, Susan Young (Tim) and Marianne Rogers; and by two grandchildren, Katarina Howington (Chris) and Rachel Young.

It was Jeanne's wish to be cremated with no services to follow. Morton & Whetstone funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
