J. Andrew "Andy" Smith

SMITH, James “Andy”, age 56 of Englewood, passed away Monday, December 13, 2021 at Miami Valley Hospital.  Andy was born March 13, 1965 in Cincinnati, Ohio to James “Jim” and Gail (Stickel) Smith.  Andy was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church, was a loving husband, father, brother and uncle.  He enjoyed watching sports, boating, and spending time with family out on the lake.

Preceded in death by his father, James “Jim” Smith, Andy is survived by his wife of 28 years, Paula (Hartman) Smith; his mother, Gail; twin children, Zachary P. and Emilee E. Smith; 3 sisters, Amy (Mike) Nemeth, Leslie Budding and Laura (Nolan) Tobias; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, December 17, 2021 at St. Christopher Catholic Church, 435 E. National Rd, Vandalia with Fr. John Tonkin celebrating.  Cremation to follow.  The family will receive friends for visitation from 5-7 pm, Thursday evening at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pink Ribbon Girls or the Wounded Warrior Project in Andy’s memory.
