James "Randy" Midgett

MIDGETT, James "Randy", age 58 of Dayton, passed away unexpectedly Friday, October 24, 2014. He was born October 18, 1956 in Dayton, OH, son of James R. & Gladys (Farley) Midgett. Randy was a 1974 Graduate of Trotwood High School and was a former employee of the Dayton Daily News and Neff Folding Box. He was a very active man and loved spending his time with his grandchildren. Randy is survived by his daughters, Shelly (Mark) Wilson and Kelly (Mike) Houghton; grandchildren, Bryse Watkins, Ashton & Avery Houghton; 1 brother, Steve "Buddy" Midgett; 3 sisters, Sharon (Robin) Williams, Donna (Carl) Young, & Teresa McSwain and 7 nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, November 3 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Trotwood. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 am until time of service.
