James E. Carpenter

Age 84, of Clayton, Ohio passed away February 5, 2024, at the Upper Valley Medical Center. Jim was born April 27, 1939, in Dayton, Ohio to the late Iris & Mildred (Newberry) Carpenter. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Judith; and by two sons, James Jr. and Curtis Carpenter.

Jim is survived by two daughters, Sherre Snow and Jeanne Blatt (Robert); his grandchildren, Jordan Snow (Meghan), Cameron Hart, Mason Blatt and James Dale; and by numerous friends he met throughout his life.

The family would like to thank all the nurses and staff at the Upper Valley Medical Center for the loving care and attention they provided.

Memorial service times are pending but they will be held at the Irish Club of Dayton on Dog Leg Road (where Jim was a lifetime member).
