Irving Wayne Edwards

EDWARDS, Irving Wayne., age 70, formerly of Springfield, OH & Arlington, TX, passed away Friday, March 15, 2013 at the Stonespring of Vandalia after a lengthy illness. He was born July 5, 1942 in Detroit, MI, son of the late John & Lilah (Zane) Edwards. Irving was a man known for working hard his entire life. He proudly went to work each day and truly loved his job as a meat cutter. He was an avid sports fan and outdoor enthusiast. He loved his Bengals, baseball, hockey, and walking outdoors. Irving was a fun-loving man with many friends, who enjoyed his life and was very proud of his children. Preceded in death by his brother, John Edwards and daughter-in-law, Sandra (Rejcek) Edwards, Irving is survived by his children, Chuck Edwards of TX, Janet Poland & husband, Tony of New Carlisle & Susan Madison & husband, Terry of Butler Twp; grandchildren, Lindsey, Taylor & Zach Poland, Jacob & Alex Edwards, and Rachel, Drew & Brook Madison; along with numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, Thursday, March 21, at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Burial will follow at Vale Cemetery, Springfield, OH. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm.
