Iris E. Roland, 98, of Vandalia, passed away Saturday, October 26, 2024. She was born to Walter & Hattie Adkins on October 28, 1925 in Gould City, Michigan. Iris was a former member of the First Baptist Church of Vandalia (now First Light Church) and enjoyed her grandkids.
Preceded in death by her parents, Walter & Hattie Adkins; her beloved husband, Wilbur Roland, and 10 siblings.
Survived by her sons, Alan Roland (Janice), Barry Roland (Tina) and Darrin Roland (Molly); four grandchildren, Jennifer Roland, Carrie Trigg, Kelly Dampier and Stephanie Tolokan; five great grandchildren, Madison, Abigail, Lily, Nora and Zoey; one great great grandchild, Finn; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives & many friends.
The family will have a private one hour visitation at 12 noon Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, Vandalia. The burial will follow at Poplar Hill Cemetery. Condolences can be shared at www.MortonWhetstoneFH.com.
