Helen Marie (Dagley) Clark, born in Dayton, Ohio, passed away on Monday, February 13, 2023 at Randall Residence at the age of 95. She was born on November 7, 1927.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Clark, in 2006, her parents, Herman and Lilly Dagley and 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Helen is survived by 3 children, Jenny Hartman (husband, Dave) of Washington, Judy Anderson of North Carolina, and Alan Clark (wife Christina) of Vandalia.
She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Michelle Hartman, Matthew Hartman, Stephanie Anderson, Amanda Crew, Staci Camacho, and Andrew Clark, and 6 great grandchildren, Preston Anderson, Cameron Demoski, Everett Hartman, Amelia Hartman, Benjamin Crew and Oliver Crew; and other family, including Karen Wellbaum, Marcia Hohner, and Lisa Corral.
As a child, Helen sang in the Inland Children’s Chorus using her beautiful alto voice. She served as a nurses’ aid when she was in High School. Helen enjoyed quilting and made each of her family members and some friend their own quilt.
She served on the Councils at Spring Meade and at Randall Residence. She attended Vandalia United Methodist church for 45 years, serving on a number of committees as well as a Sunday school teacher, where she made many life-long friends, and more recently a member of Tipp City United Methodist.
Helen was an avid card player enjoying euchre and pinochle with friends and family. She also loved to read and stayed current watching TV news.
Visitation will be held at the Tipp City United Methodist church on Saturday, February 18th from 10:30-11:30 followed by her memorial service at 11:30 a m., Pastor Bonita Ritchie officiating. Burial to follow at Poplar Hill Cemetery, Vandalia. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to Day City Hospice in Helen’s memory. Arrangements entrusted to Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, Vandalia.
