SNYDER, Harry V., 83, of Vandalia, passed away Friday, Jan. 28, 2022. He was born to Ralph & Helen Snyder on Jan. 15, 1939 in Dayton, Ohio. Harry was an active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Vandalia. He was a troop & council leader for the Boy Scouts of America. Harry enjoyed his volunteer time in the aircraft restoration department at the W.P.A.F.B Museum.

Preceded in death by his parents, Ralph & Helen Snyder; 3 sisters, Dorothy Pierce, Shirley Benfield & Marjorie Whalen; brothers, Ralph, Jack & Paul Snyder.

Survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Dawn Snyder; 2 sons, Matthew Snyder (Deanna) & Nathan Snyder; daughter, Laura Jackson; brothers, William Snyder & Kenneth Snyder (Alice); sisters, Kathleen Whitescarber, Virginia McKnight & Emma Dooley (Mike); 4 grandchildren, David, Hannah, Jordan & Tianna; many other relatives & friends.

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens in Tipp City, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County, P.O. Box 502, Troy, OH 45373. Arrangements entrusted to the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, Vandalia.
