Harold L. “Homer” Haer, Jr.

Age 72, of Tipp City, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 2, 2024. Homer was born February 6, 1952 in Dayton to the late Harold L. (Sr.) & Joann R. (Buehler) Haer. In addition to his parents, Homer was also preceded in death by his wife of 33 years, Janet Haer in 2002; two brothers, Fred & Frank Haer; and by his best friend, Buster (his dog).

Homer was a home builder and enjoyed fishing & playing pool.

Homer is survived by two sons, Kevin Haer & his wife, Jamie and Steve Haer; four grandchildren, Sara (Justin), Morgan (Zach), Kiley (Austin) & Shelby; three great grandchildren, Mila, Maeve & Miller; two sisters, Diane (Roger) Battson & Judy Purvis; and by his extended family & many good friends.

The family will be receiving friends from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Thursday (3/7) at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm with interment at Calvary Cemetery.
