Gwendolyn Kazee
Age 98, of Butler Twp., passed away peacefully on Monday, September 22, 2025.
Gwendolyn was born on July 6, 1927, in Isonville, Kentucky, to the late Charley and Alice (Engle) Webb. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, Willie Kazee, in 2016; their infant son, Terry Scott Kazee; and her brothers, Edwin, Ronnie, and Gene Webb.
Known for her creativity and love of making things beautiful, Gwen enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, gardening, fishing, and all kinds of arts and crafts. She also had a passion for shopping and cherished time spent with her family, especially during gatherings that brought everyone together. For many years, she worked as a receptionist at O’Hair International Salon, where she formed lasting friendships and touched many lives with her kindness and warmth.
Gwen’s greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her son, Neal Kazee and his wife, Janet; her daughter, Marsha Snyder and her husband, Brian; her grandchildren, Jessica Catalani (Joey), Heidi Hallauer (Alex), and Derek Kazee (Aly); and her great-granddaughter, Emma Rose Kazee. She is also survived by her brother, Lamoine Webb (Cheryl); brother-in-law, Carl Kazee; and by many extended family members.
Family and friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 30, at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m., followed by interment at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Gwen’s memory to Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton.
