Gregory K. "Greg" Anderson

ANDERSON, Gregory K. Greg age 50 of Vandalia, passed away Monday June 20, 2011 at University Hospital in Cincinnati. Greg was born July 30, 1960 in Dayton. He was a 1979 graduate of Vandalia Butler High School and was a member of the Salem Church of the Brethren. Greg was an electrician at Crown Solutions and was a former employee of Delphi and Behr Products. Greg was a dedicated Lieutenant with the City of Vandalia Division of Fire for 15 years. He was a hard worker that worked countless hours to provide for his children who he dearly loved. He was preceded in death by his mother Bonnie Anderson and his mother-in-law Carol Barnes. Greg is survived by his wife of 26 years Kim (Barnes) Anderson; his children Alicia Anderson of Beavercreek and Alex Anderson of Vandalia; his father Herbert Anderson of Vandalia; one brother Herb Jr. & wife Nancy Anderson of Camden; father-in-law Don & wife Ann Barnes; a special friend Ken Mann and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Friday June 24 at 10:30am at the Salem Church of the Brethren 6037 Phillipsburg Union Rd. The family will receive friends at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home 139 S. Dixie Dr. Vandalia on Thursday evening from 5 to 8pm. If so desired, contributions may be made to the Vandalia Firefighters Assoc. in Gregs memory.
