Gayle Celeste Fowler

Gayle Celeste Fowler, age 90, of Vandalia, passed away June 21, 2026, at Kettering Health Dayton (Grandview Medical Center). She was born to Otto & Catherine Moses on June 19, 1936, in Dayton, Ohio. Gayle was known for her love of her cats. She also enjoyed needlepoint, crochet, and knitting. In addition to being a mother, she was at one time a cashier at the city pool and later in life a preschool teacher.

Gayle was preceded in death by her husband, Jerald, and her daughter, Lynn. She is survived by her children Mark (Leonore), Timothy, and Saundra Kellams; brother Glen Moses (Linda); sister Theresa Elliott (Tom); grandchildren Adam, Trevor, Morgan, Ben, and Jesse; 8 great-grandchildren; extended family and many friends.

Gayle’s memorial service will be held at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at 1:00pm with Reverend Michael Malcosky officiating; her family will be receiving friends from 12:00pm until the time of the service. Inurnment to follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
