Gary G. Holliday

Age 83, of Vandalia, passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at Miami Valley Hospital. Gary was born November 20, 1938 in Beckley, West Virginia to the late John F. & Sylvia Holliday. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, John, Jr.

Gary retired in 1992 from General Motors with 40 years of service. He was an avid Vandalia-Butler sports fan and thoroughly enjoyed watching his grandchildren participate in sports activities.

Gary is survived by his loving wife of the past 59 years, Barbara A. (Strobel) Holliday; two children, Michele Roberts & her husband, Randy and Scott Holliday & his wife, Stacy; two grandchildren, Matthew Roberts & his wife, Stacy and Brittney Holliday & her fiancé, Drew Meketa; and by two great grandchildren, Kailyx & Colton Roberts.

The family will be receiving friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 7, 2022, at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Michael Malcosky officiating. Interment will be at Poplar Hill Cemetery in Vandalia.
