Gary Martin Gensler, 69, passed away on December 24 , in Vandalia, Ohio. He was born in Bronxville, New York, to parents Lila and Maurice Gensler, predeceased.
He is survived by his three children: Joshua (Colleen) Gensler, Jesse (Dominic) Bianconi, and Rachel Gensler; ex-wife Lois Weber Gensler; siblings Irwin Gensler, Fran (John) Hoover, and Cheryl Cooney; brothers-in-law Frank "Buddy" (Wanda) Weber, Tom (Jean) Weber, Steve (Sandy) Weber; sister-in-law Barb (Carl) Patton; ex sisters-in-law Barb E. (Scott) Davis and Judi (John) Blair; numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved very much as well as many lifelong friends.
Gary attended Meadowdale High School, OSU, and obtained an Associates Degree in Architectural Technology from Sinclair College.
He was employed for many years as an Estimator, Construction Superintendent and Project Manager and enjoyed his job.
Gary was known for his fun-loving, out-going and witty personality; generous nature and love of his pets; and his ability to make friends with and speak comfortably to anyone he'd meet.
As a child he loved playing Little League Baseball, tennis and golf later on; coaching Pee Wee Football; and happiest when fishing on vacation in Canada with the Weber Family, often sitting out on the lake in the fishing boat all day long in the rain.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 29 from 5 - 7 pm. at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr. Vandalia.
