Gary E. Eakle

EAKLE, Gary E. age 62 of Butler Twp., passed away Friday May 27, 2011 at his residence. He was born June 2, 1948 in Dayton, son of the late Gale & Diane (Hammond) Eakle. Gary was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam Conflict and was a retired Letter Carrier with the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of Amvets Post #99 and the American Legion Post #668. Gary is survived by his wife Marie (Ranly) Eakle; one daughter Leslie Eakle of Butler Twp.; one son Rodney Eakle of Butler Twp; one sister Shelia Eakle of Kettering; one granddaughter Lilly Fugate and a host of friends. It was Garys wish that his body be cremated and a Memorial Service to celebrate his life with family and friends will be held Friday June 3 at 4:00pm at Amvets Post #99 1123 S. Brown School Rd. Vandalia with Fr. Robert Monnin officiating. There will be a reception at the hall following the services until 9:00pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Fair Valley Swim Club 5975 Brantford Rd. Dayton, OH 45414 in Garys memory.
