Fred M Luther

LUTHER, Fred M., age 81 of Dayton, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2009 at his residence. He was born September 18, 1928 in Chambria, Pennsylvania, son of the late Martin & Isabelle (Foster) Luther. Fred was a self-employed Tool & Die Maker, was a member of the Shiloh Church and served as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Army. Preceded in death by his wife, Shirley, Luther is survived by 3 sons, Fred Jr; Jerry (Nora) and Glenn (Jan), all of TX; 1 daughter, Donna Simko (Darrell) of TX; 10 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Richard & Gene; 2 sisters, Vera & Betty and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, December 22 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Burial to follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00 am until time of service.
