Franklin D. Baker

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Franklin Delano Baker. He was born on July 3, 1937. He passed peacefully on November 16, 2021 at the age of eighty-four with his wife by his side. He is survived by his loving wife Jerri. He was father to Jeff Baker (Darla), Tammy Blake (Robert), Julie Morgan (Curt) and Frank Baker (Lydia). He was the proud grandpa to Rachel Sidwell (Joshua Horvath), Danny Blake (Jeannie), Megan Pickens (Mark), Jordan Blake, Amy Baker, Curtis Morgan (Jenny), Amanda Naylor (Clayton), Casey Morgan (Alexis), Michael Baker (MacKenzie), Ciara Blake, Cole Morgan (Sarah), Sydney Baker, and Jackson Baker.  Doting great grandpa to Emma, Callie, Liam, Maggie, Ryleigh, Isla, Hanna, Lily, and Maddie Simpson (Jesse). He was the son of the late George and Hazel Baker. He was preceded in death by brothers Robert, Lee, Shannon, Edward, Jack, Floyd, Julian and is survived by his sister Beatrice. He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. Frank was born in Orlando (Brush Creek), Kentucky. He came to Dayton where he met and married his wife of sixty-five years. They had four children, thirteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He spent many hours riding motorcycles and fishing with his children and nephews in the woods behind their house. He always had time to play board games and cards. He was so loved and entertained by his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was an ordained minister and attended the United Church of God in Fairborn, Ohio.  He had an everlasting commitment to God, to his family, friends and to the church. He will be missed.
