Frank R. Moloney, 87, of Vandalia, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at his home. Frank was born to Mark & Thelma Moloney on April 12, 1939 in Dayton, Ohio. He was a graduate of Chaminade High School and the University of Dayton. Frank was a VP of Credit & Collection at PNC Bank (formerly National City Bank). He was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Frank was an avid golfer and loved his Scotty dogs. Frank was a strong, kind, honest, patient & loving gentleman with a beautiful soul.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Shelley Marie Vair, and his brother, James Moloney. Survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Susan; sons, Scott Moloney, Michael Moloney (Anne); sisters-in-law, Karen Huffman & Joy Moloney; grandchildren, Hannah, Darby & Landon; several nieces, nephews, other relatives & many friends.
The family will receive friends 12 noon to 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 30 at the Morton & Whetstone, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia, with the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Fr. John Tonkin, officiating. The burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery in Tipp City. If desired, memorial donations can be made the VITAS Hospice. Condolences can be shared at www.MortonWhetstoneFH.com.
