Eugene Madlinger

MADLINGER, Eugene F., age 85 of Vandalia, passed away Thursday, January 31, 2008 at his residence. He was born October 12, 1922 in Dayton, OH, son of the late Anton & Elizabeth Rose (Roth) Madlinger. He was a wood patern maker with Ohio Precision Casting and a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church, Vandalia. Preceded in death by 2 brothers and 1 granddaughter, Kristie, Eugene is survived by his wife of 64 years, Henrietta (Schaub); 3 sons, James A. & wife, Janice Madlinger of Huber Heights, Richard J. & wife, Sukanya Madlinger of Springboro & David E. Madlinger of West Carrollton; 6 grandchildren, Lisa, Tracy, Bo, Bart, Lori & Ajay; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter and a host of other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, February 5 at St. Christopher Catholic Church, Vandalia with Fr. Francis Keferl officiating. Burial to follow at Polk Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia on Monday evening from 4-7 pm. If so desired, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in Eugenes memory.
