Elveta L. Powers

POWERS, Elveta L., age 87 of Dayton, passed away Monday, April 9, 2018 at Brookdale of Englewood. She was born November 30, 1930 in Dayton. She was preceded in death by her parents, John & Lucy Myers; husband, Mason J. Powers; son, Michael Powers, granddaughters, Lori Staley and Lee Ann Staley; and great-granddaughter, Lynnea Nicole (Staley) Dixon. Elveta is survived by her son, Jerry Powers; daughter, Betty Ann (Powers) Allen (David); grandsons, Mason Staley, Darrian Gooding and Jeremiah Gooding; granddaughter, Destiney Staley; sister, Betty Raines; nieces, Nancy Pack & Polly Mosley and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until 12:00 noon on Friday, April 13 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia, with service to begin at 12:00 pm.
