Eleanor L. Henger
Age 94, formerly of Vandalia, passed away Friday, October 21, 2016, in Evansville, Indiana.
Eleanor was born June 13, 1922 in Piqua, Ohio to the late Correll & Edith (Higgins) Hunter.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Henger; and by two brothers, John & Lester Hunter.
Eleanor was a former member of the Murlin Heights United Church of Christ and a current member of the Bethlehem United Church of Christ in Evansville, IN.
She is survived by three children, Barbara Johnson (Ronald), Robert Henger & Harry Henger (Betsy); four grandchildren, Tina Gaines (Bob), Kim Bennett (Jon), Chris Henger (Alicia) & Jennifer Jenkins (Jason); seven great grandchildren, Mason, Madelynn, Haley, Samuel, Kaleah, Billy & Alexandria; and by her extended family & many good friends.
The family will be receiving friends from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Tuesday (10/25) at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Michael Malcosky officiating. Interment at Poplar Hill Cemetery.
