Edward E Donnelly

DONNELLY, Edward E., age 64, of Harrison Twp., passed away Friday, February 27, 2009 at Grandview Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was born December 12, 1945 in Estil County, KY. Ed was a member of the Crestview Baptist Church where he served as a custodian and also taught Sunday school. He enjoyed his family, his baseball cards and garage sales. He was a former member of the Crestview bowling & softball teams and managed little league baseball teams in Northridge in the 1980s. Preceded in death by his father, James E. Donnelly, his mother, Melvinia R. Smith and 1 brother, Lorhis Lewis, Ed is survived by his wife of 39 years, Sandra (Trochelman); his daughter, Tricia A. Donnelly; his dad, Robert A. Smith; 1 brother, James & wife, Nelda Newman; 1 sister, Glen Rose & husband, Timothy Lake; sisters-in-law, Barbara & husband, Dan Wagner, Patricia & husband, James Saul and Ann Lewis; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces & great-nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, Tuesday, March 3 at the Crestview Baptist Church, 6600 Salem Ave., with Pastor Gene Burke officiating. Burial to follow at Royal Oak Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia on Monday evening from 6-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Michael J.
