Douglas “Doug” Wayne Phipps, age 71, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2025, in Lewisburg, Ohio. Born on October 5, 1953, in Eccles, West Virginia, Doug lived a life defined by service, hard work, humor, and deep love for his family.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents Frank & Pansy and siblings Larry, Dale, Paul, Charlotte and Jerry.

Doug's greatest joy came from the time he spent with his family. He leaves behind his loving wife, Patti, and two daughters, Lori and Jennifer, who were the center of his world. Siblings; Darrel, John, Gary, Jeff, Mary, Sharon, and Mike. Grandchildren; Brent, Brittany, Brandon, Beth, David, Gracie, Eric, Jason, and Bo; and his great-grandchildren: Alayna, Madelyn, Lacey, Layla, Bryson, Ollie and Jacey. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A proud veteran, Doug served his country with honor before spending some years on the road as a dedicated truck driver. He later worked for Brown’s Nursery, where he found joy in being outdoors and working with his hands. Known for his quick wit and warm laugh, Doug could light up any room and never missed a chance to share a good joke.

Doug was the kind of man who gave fully—of his time, his heart, and his humor. He was funny, brave, and loving to his core. He will be missed beyond measure.

A celebration of Doug’s life will be held at a later date, to be determined. His legacy of laughter, courage, and unconditional love will live on in all who knew him.
