David Michael Cassidy

David Michael Cassidy passed away peacefully on May 18, 2025, after many years fighting complications of strokes. He lived a simple life in the Dayton / Kettering area, and his final years at Arcadia Care (formerly Friendship Village). David was kind and gentle, enjoyed gardening and going to concerts, especially his favorite artist Todd Rundgren!

David was born June 11, 1959, as the fourth of 5 siblings born to Mary Jane and John (Jack) Cassidy. His father Jack passed away suddenly at a young age. He is also preceded in death by his mother Mary Jane and long-time stepfather Donnie Lummer, as well as his brother Thomas Cassidy.

He is survived by his daughter Melissa (Steven) Rohde, grandson Adrian Rohde, sisters Patty Cassidy and Kathy Chambers, and brother Mark Cassidy. He also has many nieces and nephews that cared for him deeply.

A celebration of David's life will be held at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home in Vandalia on June 11, 2025, which would have been his 66th birthday. Visitation will be from 12pm-1pm followed by a memorial service. Then there will be a procession to Glen Haven Memorial Gardens in New Carlisle to place David's urn in its final resting place.
